Bar that, the game performs solidly.įurthermore, this game has all manner of game modes, from story to traditional versus and training as well as a whole lot more. The only real criticism I can level at this Switch port is that the loading times are quite long and the English menu font is bizarrely tiny in places. This is because, as I have written about in the past, the Switch is effectively a portable arcade and these types of fighting games suit it wonderfully. There is a graphical hit though and the Switch version obviously doesn’t look as pristine as the original version but unlike the previous console releases, the Switch suits Samurai Shodown far better. Combat is very direct and attacks deal a lot of damage.
